I went for the open house recently & I couldn't stop smiling! This place was awesome! The staff were so friendly and very informative! My daughter who is 10 was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I know when she is away at camp this summer for two weeks, I will not have to worry about a single thing! The program they run is amazing! There will be enough staff during the summer. Plenty of nurses and Endocrinologists! I can not wait to give a second review after her two week stay in August! I am so excited for her!

Place was horrible, counselor was MIA. Alcohol was evident on premises with nip bottles on camp grounds. Poor security , walked right into cabin unchallenged.Not enough diabetic supplies( they ran out of test strips!!) I had to pull my neice out a week early because of bad camp management!
The Barton Center is mainly a summer camp for children with diabetes. If someone wants to go and can't afford it, they make it affordable for them. It teaches them tools and support for living with and managing diabetes. Such a good place!
I love coming here and I look forward to it every summer! It is like my second family! I am going to apply to be a CIT next year and I can not wait!
